So… here’s what you told me
A couple of weeks ago, I did something…
I don’t do nearly often enough.
I stopped talking. And I asked you.
What you’re wrestling with. How you most love to receive this work. Where you are right now. And if you had one hour of live training with me — what you’d want it to be on.
Then I made a cup of tea, and I read every single reply. Some were three words. Some were three paragraphs. A few made me tear up.
And reading them all at once, I saw something I could never have seen in any single one. Something I want to show you.
Here’s the first thing — and it’s the one I most want to hear:
You are standing at the same doorway as so many other women.
Not the same life. Not the same story. But the same threshold. Over and over, in different words, you told me a version of the same thing. And if you’ve ever worried that you were the only one feeling this way — you are so far from alone.
Here’s what came through.
More than half of you named some version of the fear that shows up right as you reach for something bigger.
Not fear in general — but that very specific kind that arrives the moment you go to actually build the thing.
One of you described having the whole plan ready… and pulling the pin at the last minute. Another, hesitating right at the point of the ask — even knowing you have something that could truly help.
If that’s you — I want you to know: that fear isn’t the wall. It’s the doorway. It shows up precisely because you’ve arrived somewhere new — right at the edge of the bigger life. You’ve just been reading the sign backwards.
It doesn’t say stop. It says this way. (And there’s a third way through it — not “push through,” not “wait till you’re ready.” It’s what I most want to teach you.)
Just as many of you are wrestling with the how — building the life or business you love, doing all the things, and feeling like your life isn’t changing as fast as you’d hoped.
Here’s the tender truth underneath it: it’s almost never the strategy. You usually already have the how. What’s in the way is quieter, deeper — and far more workable than “try harder.”
And a whole cluster of you said something I could have written myself. One woman put it this way:
“How do I expand — without expanding the depletion it takes to get there?”
That’s the whole question, isn’t it? Wanting more without betraying your peace.
Holding a bigger vision without abandoning yourself to build it.
It’s the both/and at the heart of everything I teach.
And one of you wrote something I keep coming back to:
“I’m not broken and needing fixing. I’m not unhappy and needing cheering up. I’m just not moving. And that’s not me.”
I stopped when I read that. Because that’s it, exactly.
You’re not a problem to be solved. You’re a whole woman who knows, in her body, that standing still isn’t who she is. That knowing? That’s the beginning of the movement.
Two gentle surprises, too.
Almost none of you asked for more meditations or guided practices — which told me something real about what you want from me right now.
And when I asked how you love to receive this work, so many of you reached for the same thing: you, live. Trainings. Q&A. Real conversation. Not more polished content to consume — more of the real thing.
I heard that. Loud and clear.
So here’s what I want to tell you, as I finish planning the rest of my year:
I’m building it around you.
Around the doorway you’re standing at.
There’s a live training taking shape — on the fear that meets you right when you reach for more, and the third way through it. Not “push through.” Not “wait until you’re ready.” A way I actually had to unlearn my old teaching to find.
It’s the thing the most of you asked for — in your own words, without knowing you were all asking for it together.
Keep an eye on your inbox. ♡ (if you’re not subscribed to my list yet, join here.)
You told me where you are. Now let me come and meet you there.
With so much love,
Carmen xo
P.S. — Reading this, did you feel the doorway too? You don’t have to be further along than you are. Tell me in the comments where you’re standing right now — I read every single one, and I’d love to hear. ♡
P.P.S. — This all started with a letter to my email community — where I write most personally, share new work first, and ask the questions I don’t ask anywhere else. The live training I mentioned will be announced there first. If that’s a room you’d like to be in, come join us. ↓
